How the Wiggle Rig works

The weight holds the rig in place, you put slight tension on your line between the weight and rod tip, and now the lure follows every rod tip movement,, in "ALL" directions, even your heart beat vibrations are transfered from your hand to the lure. Unlike drop shotting where you jerk up and gravity slowing brings the lure back down, the movement of the lure now is equal in all directions, putting natural vibrations into soft plastic lures, even with them sitting in one spot (these actions can also be placed in the lure while dragging the weight along the bottom, putting up to 10 times the action on the lures over any other rig).

Lure manufacturers have spent millions in R&D , to try to mimic the action of the natural pray that fish feed on, and they have also spent huge sums trying to get their lures to continue to move (their skirts, tails, or limbs) once the forces of the retrieve, and gravity have stopped. Very little continued movement has ever been archived after the lure stops moving through the water., yet they have sold many millions of dollars in lures that claim to still move a "little", once the lateral action stops. The reason is simple, natural pray moves around in one spot. Many game fish will not hit something that is laying perfectly still, unless they just watched it moving. This means you can't leave it in one spot for long, or the fish that watched it, loose interest in it. Being able to keep a lure moving in one spot has been the Holly Grail of the lure manufacturers, and fishermen. To totally mimic live bait, to be able to fish a lure like live bait. The drop shot rig has come closer than anything "before" it, and when the fish are deep, and in clear water, the drop shot rig out catchs all other prior rigs, even though the action "is not totally natural".

Although the Wiggle Rig is tied up like a drop shot rig, and you would have to know what your looking at, and look very closely, to tell that it's not, a drop shot rig,, (but you can fish it under drop shot conditions. but also under all Carolina, Texas rig, and jigging conditions, and locations),
comparing it to a drop shot rig, would be like comparing a canoe, to a $40,000 bass boat.

There is just one difference in the Wiggle rig, from a drop shot rig,, one "tiny" added piece of high tech fishing line between the weight, and lure, this special piece of line makes all the difference in the world in lure presentation, and applications of use. It's called SpecTastic, it is an elastic thread made with an outer core of Spectra fiber. Never before have plastic worms actually wiggled like a real worm, never before have soft plastic minnow lures been made to swim in a circle, quivering like it's injured, in one spot, just like a real distressed minnow acts.

It takes some practice to master it, to catch all fish, under all conditions, so practice where you can watch what rod tip action places what action on the lure you want. The Videos show a lot of action,, because that catches fishermen, sometimes just a little is all you want on your lures for those finicky fish. When fish are active, a lot of action works great. It takes experimenting each day to find out which action they want, the great thing about the Wiggle rig,, you can vary that action on each cast.

The Wiggle rig works when the fishing conditions call for Texas, Carolina, drop shotting, or jigging (when the fish are suspended don't use it, unless you can vertically jig the rig right where the fish are) You can make one cast to structure, and leave it there, working the lure and letting the fish come to it, instead of you trying to cast your lure to the fish. It can also be dragged along the bottom, when stopping. you "can" keep the lure moving in one spot. It can be fished behind log jams, and in weed pockets, places where you can't work any other rig with a lure, the places where the real hogs like to hang out.
