Rodney Long is a avid hunter and fisherman, he started fishing at age three and can still remember that very first fish he ever caught, Rodney is also a crazy inventor, he has been inventing things all his life, with hundreds of inventions under his belt. With a mechanical engineering back ground and many years working in heavy industry solving many problems for his employers over the years,  Rodney worked for years in the pollution control industry, and was the first person to build a Flue Gas Desulphererzaton system that ever worked, he actually is the reason Acid rain is no longer a major problem in the World's atmosphere, His design is the World standard today. Rodney decided to go independent in 1998, and started trying to invent for a living on his own. This business was a lot harder than he thought, the inventing was easy but the marketing of those inventions was indeed tough, he made many marketing mistakes, and it nearly cost him everything, but he would not quit, finally he invented the hottest thing in fishing, a remote control for fishing lures, the Boomerang Fishing Pro. (although this is still on the market, I don't recommend anyone buy it)

The Boomerang was the first version of this rig, it was large, bulky, it caught fish, but it needed improvements. Over the last few years it has been improved to the point of perfection, and Rodney started his own tackle company with the "SpecTastic Wiggle rig" being it's flag ship product, offered with many different weight systems, the Wiggle rig is winning tournaments  around the country. The Wiggle rig is patented, and SpecTastic tackle is the only company licensed to manufacture it (legal action is pending against some other tackle companies)

Rodney Also Invented the  StandOut hook, for True Turn, the hook that made drop shotting easy for everyone, it is the hook of choice for many of the top touring professional bass fishermen for drop shotting, and is now getting a huge following in the live bait fishermen for other species of fish.

Rodney's new company will be bringing out many new fishing product he has already invented to make fishing more enjoyable and productive for everyone

Rodney and his inventions have been featured in many newspapers, and national fishing magazines.

Rodney was on the History Channel's, Modern Marvels of the Tackle Box , and was the "only" living inventor interviewed on that show, they said his tackle was the fishing tackle of the 21 st century.
