Steel single strand straight to mono, or braided lines
When tying a steel leader to Mono, use the hook snell knot, lay the leader on the tool allowing the loop in the steel leader, to act as a stop. When pressure is applied to the line, the knot grabs the steel leader with four wraps, instead of pulling against just one loop of the steel, causing the mono to cut.
