Multiple hooks Order
Now
Using multiple hooks has many advantages, catching more
than one fish at a time is just one of them, for bottom fishing with natural
baits, it puts twice the smell in the water, for drawing fish, it allows
one bait to be taken, and a second chance to catch the fish on the other
bait, but catching two fish at a time is common when using two hooks or
baits. Multiple hooks can be attached to your line in two ways with the
EZ knot, one is using drop leaders, the other is tying the hooks inline
with the EZ Snell knot (hook knot). The way this is done is tying another
hook, on the tag of the hook above it. Although to you, and me this
looks like it would not be efficient in catching fish on the upper hooks,
in actual field testing, this arrangement caught just as may fish, with
fewer tangling problems than using drop leaders.
This photo shows two hooks tied in this manner, they
were tied "not" going through the eye of the hook, but going through the
eye works just as wellThe
distance between the hooks can be varied to what you desire, the one shown
is in the trail hook set up, for putting two hooks in a single bait.
Double hooks can also allow you to fish two artificial worms at once, when
bass fishing, the best hook for this is the "Culprit" worm hook, but standard
worm hooks work
